Just before my 36th birthday, I had a revelation. I realized that the reason I was so obsessed with Patti Smith was because she was living my dream. I wanted to be a rock and roll star! Well, being the realist I am, I decided to be humble and just see what would be possible in that direction. I started writing songs and taught myself a few chords on the guitar. This summer I celebrated ten years. I’m so glad I got started, as I’ve definitely made some progress. Just imagine if I’d waited another ten years for that revelation. Not that it would be impossible (I am an incurable optimist: it’s never too late!), but I definitely had more energy back then.

I recorded a CD last year called “Destiny”. It was quite a learning process, and didn’t come out so bad. Now I’m working on a new CD. I dare say it will be better, simply because I learned so much the first time around. But I won’t be sure about that until it’s finished. I’ll let you know!
